We hope you are enjoying your Holidays, spending time with family, and hopefully consuming the fruits of your labor; maybe a Tre’s Uvas from Chile, or one of your excellent Californian wines produced at Grape Beginnings.
We would like to take this time to review 2012, and mention some of what’s in-store for 2013.
2012 was a year of changes, challenges, and excellent wines. In June 2012, Grape Beginnings pressed its’ last wines in Freehold. Those 2012 Chilean wines made their way into the barrel, and were than hauled off to our new Winery in Eatontown. While we enjoyed almost a decade in Freehold, creating fine premium wines, crafting delicious micro-brews, and making many, (many) new friends, the time had come for us to move to a bigger facility so we can continue to grow and enhance our business, well into the future.
Our new Winery is a new beginnings for us, and our customers. We now have the space to grow, and expand our business to provide you the best wine making, and beer brewing experience in NJ.
2012 also brought us Sandy. A storm that devastated our Jersey Shore. Grape Beginnings fortunately, survived the store unscathed. We had some challenges pressing the last of the California wines without power, but with ingenuity and lots of hard work, the wine was pressed, and made it was into the barrel without issue. With so many affected by Sandy, Grape Beginnings wanted to help, so we donated a portion of our profits to a Hurricane Relief fund, hosted Sandy’s Toy Shoppe, helping distribute thousands of toys to families impacted by the store, and donated and poured wine for the Sea Bright Rising Beach Bash, which raised over $130,000 towards Sea Brights’ recovery.
2012 was also one of the best harvest years in California in the last decade. The fruit from California was beautiful, and promises to produce some of the best wines in years. We are extremely excited and can’t until then end of 2013 to taste these wines.
As 2012 comes to an end, we look forward to 2013. Grape Beginnings has some exciting things in-store for the new year. In 2013, we will have new wine making payment options, and a Beer Club that allows you to brew as little as one case. We will introduce our new high-end Vintners Club where you will have the opportunity to take Grape Beginnings wine making to the highest level, as well as our new Winemakers club that provides wine making experiences throughout the year.
We will also continue to add exciting events to our calendar; Cigar nights, Olive Oil, & Vinegar events, Cooking demonstrations, wine blending, and other wine education nights. Don’t forget, our new space is a great place to host you next party or corporate event.
2013 promises to be one of our greatest years ever, and we look forward to sharing our passion with you, as we continue to be the best Hands-on Winery in NJ.
Happy New Year!
