General Policies

We pride ourselves on running a fun and casual business that everyone can enjoy. In order to ensure that all of our customers are able to enjoy, Grape Beginnings equally and so that our employees can do their jobs efficiently, we do have some rules and guidelines.

1) Tardiness:
When an appointment is made by a customer, they are expected to show up on time. If they are not familiar with Eatontown, or if they are driving at a time of higher traffic, we ask that they take this into account when making their appointment. If a customer is late, they run the risk of being charged a $50 “no show” fee per batch of beer that they had scheduled… If a customer calls us in advance to let us know they may be late, we can forewarn them of any issues and we’ll have a better chance of accommodating them (if possible). If a customer is late by 15 minutes or more, it is up to the manager on duty whether or not Grape Beginnings will be able to accommodate them. We schedule our brewing times back to back, so any delay in the process unfairly penalizes the customer after you and puts undue stress on our employees.

3) Children:
Grape Beginnings has never forbidden children from coming with their parents, however, we do discourage it. Our store is not a child friendly environment. We have boiling kettles, hot water lines, chemicals and various cleaners on almost every surface within the winery, etc. Not to mention that most of our customers come here to get away from normal life and enjoy a calm, relaxing outing with their friends. If you must bring children, they must be behaved and well attended to so that they do not disrupt our customer’s enjoyment.

4) Food & Beverages:
Our customers are always welcome to bring their own food, snacks, or beverages. There are also several good local restaurants that can deliver food to Grape Beginnings, just ask employees for the menus. Please note, food is not permitted within the bottling and brewing & wine making areas, rather, food must be consumed on the “main floor” of our winery, Also food is not allowed on our front tasting room.

5) Guarantee: We can not guarantee that you will like the product you made.  However, we will replace or re-maike a product that is found to be defective.
If you are ever not completely satisfied with the Wine or Beer product made on our premises, please let us know & we will taste & test the product to determine if it is a manufacturing process issue or not.   If the product is deemed defective we will replace or re-make or re-brew your product.

Sediment, Alcohol level,  Acid Crystals, Acid & Tannin levels, and color are not considered defects.

Taste is subjective, we can only determine if a wine or beer is made correctly or not.

Acknowledgement that the art or Wine Making or Beer Brewing involves a certain amount of risk as to the outcome. We do everything possible to give every customer a good product.

6) Abandoned Beer and Wines:
Any beers or wines that have been brewed on our premises that have not been bottled by the customer within 6 months will be considered as abandoned and will become the property of  Grape Beginnings. We reserve the right to bottle any beers or wines that have been brewed on our premises that have not been bottled by the customer within 3 months; in this event, if the customer wishes to pick up their beverage after it has been bottled by Grape Beginnings, there will be a $25 bottling fee due on the day of pick up. It is up to the customer to make their own bottling appointment(s) in a timely manner, please keep this in mind when brewing on our premises. We must enforce this rule because we have limited storage space and unclaimed product becomes a liability over time.
